Fikriah is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Marine Science, Kulliyyah of Science, IIUM Kuantan. She started to build-up her experiences as a marine scientist during her tenure at the Institute of Oceanography and Maritime Studies (INOCEM), IIUM as an Academic Trainee. Her research focuses on interdisplinary approaches in aquatic and marine pollution, environmental health risk-related states and events caused by toxic metals, microplastics and other pollutants in the streams, rivers, lakes and oceans.
